What Is Morpheus8?
Morpheus8 is a fractional radiofrequency microneedling treatment. Insulated or coated microneedles enter the skin at selected depths while bipolar RF energy creates controlled heat within the tissue. This combination is designed to stimulate repair and collagen remodeling.
Concerns Morpheus8 May Address
- Fine lines and crepey texture
- Acne-scar appearance and uneven texture
- Enlarged-looking pores
- Mild to moderate visible laxity
- Texture concerns on selected body areas
How RF Microneedling Differs
Traditional microneedling creates mechanical microchannels without radiofrequency energy. Morpheus8 adds adjustable bipolar RF energy at depth, allowing the provider to customize treatment according to anatomy, tissue thickness, concern, and skin type.
Morpheus8 is not a surgical lift and does not replace volume that has been lost. Some patients may benefit more from, or combine treatment with, resurfacing, injectables, or another energy-based modality.
What to Expect
Your provider reviews medical history, medications, prior procedures, active skin conditions, scarring or pigment history, and treatment goals. A topical numbing protocol is commonly used. During treatment, pressure, warmth, and brief pinching sensations may be felt.
Redness, swelling, tenderness, pinpoint marks, dryness, or a rough texture can occur. Initial changes may become visible after healing, while collagen remodeling develops over the following weeks and months. A series may be recommended.
Safety, Candidacy, and Aftercare
Pregnancy, active infection, open lesions, implanted electronic devices, impaired healing, recent procedures, certain medications, and a history of abnormal scarring or pigment change must be discussed. Follow instructions about skincare, makeup, exercise, heat, and sun exposure.
