What Is Filler Dissolving?
Hyaluronidase is an enzyme used to break down hyaluronic-acid filler. It may be considered for unwanted product, asymmetry, migration, suitable nodules, overcorrection, or urgent vascular concerns.
Hylenex is one brand listed by SkinHealth. It does not dissolve Sculptra or Radiesse.
Assessment First
The provider reviews the product, location, timing, symptoms, medical history, and goals. More than one session may be needed.
What to Expect
Temporary stinging, redness, swelling, bruising, tenderness, or unevenness can occur.
Urgent Symptoms
Severe pain, blanching, dusky discoloration, worsening swelling, or vision symptoms after filler require urgent medical evaluation.
Safety
Allergy history and previous reactions must be reviewed. Treatment follows an informed discussion of benefits, limitations, and alternatives.
This is not emergency medical advice.
